Carbis Bay is a beautiful beach resort area that is bordered to the west by Porthminster Point and to the east by Hawke's Point.
The village overlooks a bay that is part of St. Ives Bay which adjoins the Atlantic Ocean. Due to the proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, Carbis Bay is warmed by the Gulf Stream, bringing many clear brilliant blue skies in winter as well as in the summertime.
Cornwall has always been known for its magnificent sandy beaches, with surrounding green countryside lush with flora and fauna and huge craggy cliffs. Hawke's Point is located just beyond the Carbis Valley within easy access and the picturesque beauty of this valley is a joy to view.
Additionally, the village is conveniently served by the St. Ives Bay Line railway, a quaint and charming rail line that is interestingly one of the only profitable branches in the United Kingdom. The rail line connects to the Cornish Main Line making travel easily accessible to and from London.
